The Role of Faith In Therapy

The Role of Faith in Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy/Counseling

At Rooted Relational Therapy, each of our therapists value and recognize the role of faith and spirituality in individual and relational healing and wholeness.  We all believe spirituality is an important part of each person, and we also respect wherever an individual is at in his/her journey.  It is always your choice whether or not to discuss matters of faith during therapy, and whether or not to incorporate faith or spirituality into your treatment.

We will not force you to explore any spiritual beliefs if that is not something you desire to do.  You get to determine the degree to which faith and spirituality are discussed or integrated with therapy, if at all.  Although many of the therapists at Rooted come from a Christian faith background and we seek to provide compassionate, Christ-like care, we also celebrate diversity and openly welcome people who hold vastly different beliefs.
